Part 1964 – A Dream-Filled Interlude Before Nightfall.

Time ticked by with steady determination. Seconds and minutes. Hours and hours.

The vampires slept and they dreamed…

Ambrose dreamed of Barbara dressed in a gown so white it was glowing. His tuxedo was as black as mortal sin.

He held out his hands to her. “Barbara. Barbara, marry me.”

She ran into his arms and hugged him, “Don’t worry, kitten. I will.” She looked up at his face. “I do.”

Robin dreamed of Isellta standing alone on a balcony somewhere.

“The night is dark and I am alone.” He looked back at Robin with tears in his eyes. “I am so alone.”

Robin ran to him and pulled him into a fierce hug. “You ain’t alone no more, ‘sellta. I’m here.”

Isellta laid his head against Robin’s chest. “I’m going to disappear.”

“No! Stay with me. Please stay.”

“Hold onto me, Robin. Don’t let me disappear.”

Robin tightened his hold on him. “I’m here, my beautiful fey. I’m here.”

Raven wandered through the darkness of his dreams, trying to find Missy. He could hear her voice, but she was nowhere to be seen.

“Missy! Where are you? I am here! I am here!”

Her voice echoed back, “I am here. I am here.”

He ran towards her voice, but she wasn’t there. “Missy. MISSY!”

And day crept slowly into dusk into night.
